Training Services
“The training I’ve had has been excellent…” (Mrs R.Pearson, Carer)
Allan-Ross’s nurses and carers undergo our thorough 12 week induction training programme. They also continue to receive training through our Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme and we ensure all of our carers achieve SVQ Level II Health and Social Care within 6 months, wherever possible. We are members of the Scottish Training Federation and Investors in People (IIP) accredited.
Since 1998 our courses have been used to train many carers and nurses, particularly from nursing homes and other care providers. We use the dedicated training room within our Head Office in Tranent, your workplace or facilities in a central location.
Allan-Ross is still one of the only SQA Accredited Centre with an Internal Verifier and Assessor based in East Lothian. Many of the courses provide evidence of underpinning SQA knowledge. Certificates are given for each successfully completed course.
The courses that we regularly run include:
- 1.Safe Moving & Handling (6 hours)
